I made some really thin centering rings to mount a 29mm motor mount tube inside a 38mm coupler for an OddRoc that I am building
I think these are the smallest centering rings I have ever made. About .090 thick made from plywood

Nice jigs, and great idea for a party! What rockets are they going to build?
Thanks! The boys get to pick... have a Cherokee E and couldn't resist picking up a Vapor from Hobby Lobby today. Assuming the Estes Cyber Monday special is here in time, Super Nova, Indicator, Honest John, Mini Fat Boy, Sky Warrior, and Mini Comanche 3 will be available!
If that order is late, I'll pick up a Goblin and Hi-Flier XL at Hobby Lobby.

Wow, pretty ambitious stuff for an overnight build... please get some pics and report on how it goes. I hope the weather holds up for you.

Finished my pair of Gobbies. A 1:1 scale with TTW fins and a big lightweight streamer. And a BT80 upscale with a 4x24mm cluster motor mount, can take up to 3.75" motors. If all 4 burn, should be fun. E-rockets had the large nose cone so...

Cheers / Robert

I have had my new 3D printer making fin alignment jigs. The initial use will be at my son's 12th birthday party. He will have a couple friends over to build rockets in the evening, and Kansas-winds-permitting launch in the morning.
Welcome to the Rocket Family. 3D is awesome. Cant go wrong and great job.

Land of Poutine!
glued on fin #3 on my 4" black fly
(one fin per night = 5 nights.. Next week is 10x fillets! (2 per night))

Still deciding on 'head end' deployment - would be my 1st!

It’s a 4” fiberglass nose cone. Some pretty good suggestions so far...
I say do an original design, although a 4" upscale of pretty much anything with a nose like that would be great.

See David Qualman's ongoing series of Interceptor-ish builds on YORF for inspiration.

I was half serious with the car suggestion. Rocket powered or otherwise.

(Yeah, but only half.)

First use of one of my fin jigs! This is the first Mean Machine I've ever built. Bought 3 in high school and scratch-built a 9 foot tall w/ 5 foot booster cluster for my senior year 4H project (maiden flight was my first CATO, still hurts).

Wait, was that an Odd'l kit? Never saw that one before. It is... odd ('l).
It was part of a combo kit which included the Corkscrew. I believe it's OOP.
Mated a Quest Flicks rubber band powered rocket to a BT-5 tube and nose cone.
Hasn't maidened yet.
