1. Was this a custom baffle or is this available for sale?
2. Let us know the result after a couple of flights. If it works I might buy a few.

These were something he designed with the intention of selling on his site. They are not listed yet but i'm guessing it won't be long.

He sent me a couple of samples to test out and I'm happy with their fit and finish. I'm hoping to get out and fly one more time this year so I'll keep you posted.

David Qualman's stuff is first rate. We use his baffles and rings in our kits and he's even cut custom ply rings for us.

I made a rocket out of a post office mailing box. It's a triangular box 4 feet long. Cut a nose cone out of styrofoam. Put 3 fins on and a 29mm x 12 inch motor mount. It might just fly too.

It didn't have any mail-in ballots inside, did it?

Sorted through an old box of stuff looking for rockets to photograph on our new stands (out next week). Laser cut MDF you can paint, weather, decorate, whatever. This ol' scratch build dates from 2006...

Yeah, seeing the price of our toys go up just because someone wants to help save civilization as we know it is just infuriating. I mean, how dare they?!
You don’t live here where these eyesores are. Let’s just agree to disagree

I don't suppose there's a recording of the talk?

Yeah, I do. I see them all over the landscape, interrupting otherwise beautiful mountain landscapes. But fine, agree to disagree.

I got a \$500 gift card from work so I used it to order a couple 4" kits, not that I needed more. I have a decade of build pile waiting to be built.
It sounds like you need to get busy...

Indeed. Lots of the build pile are LPR and I can knock some of them out in a day.

What are these hardware protector sleeve called, and more importantly where can I buy some?View attachment 436645
I've pretty much thrown out all my cracked clear tubes and replaced it on all my cases with this stuff. If the minimum length is too much, check out ebay, there's usually several vendors as well.

Or share some with a rocket buddy

Getting better with my epoxy fillets for the fins
What is that all over the aft centering ring?

Threw together a quick ring sanding stick to knock out a bulkhead for the front of the star orbiter.

Used it to match sand the retainer so it matches the BT-60 too

Yesterday I built the sled for my 4" Frenzy XL:

Sure is nice to work on a 4" rocket, lots of room.

Nice touch. I'm part way through a Star Orbiter and may borrow this idea.
