Thank you! I turned 58 so not quite old enough for Medicare yet but thankfully I retired from the Air Force so I have Tricare. The other thing I did on my birthday was to get my second infusion of Entyvio and I shudder to think what that would have cost without my insurance. Probably wouldnt be building rockets anymore....

    Congratulations :).

I suggest you put some RTV silicone between the two upright transistors on the left. It will provide some support and stop vibration fracturing the legs where they join onto the PCB. Make sure you use NEUTRAL CURE silicone. The non-neutral stuff releases acetic acid as it cures and this corrodes the area around it.

Sounds like a good idea. Might be appropriate for the battery leads as well.

Thanks. This is my second Quark. I have some continuing issues with the first one. On two occasions I've had both deployment channels fire just after the buzzer sounds the "ready to fly" tone. One happened with live charges when the rocket was on the rail while I was installing the ignitor in the motor. I've ground tested it multiple times with just the e-matches attached and can't repeat the glitch. The rocket it's in has also made three successful flights with perfect functioning.

Went to a late season launch after work. I had a few nice flights including a 20 year old Silver Hawk on an A10-3T. Another guy and a '70s D12 that catoed so badly that it broke the phone pole insulator that I use for a blast deflector.

The squirrel prepared for receiving its yellowish fins and then with its first coat outside in the spray shelter on a cold blustery day. This should be the final painting session for the squirrel.

I finally made some progress on the ACME Spitfire that I started last year. 93CD3EC4-44E8-410C-9B17-4CEB95B51750.jpg

And I did some uber-amateur editing of my in-flight video to send to the troop leader of the Cub Scouts who were at our last launch.

I got my L2 yesterday. I flew a modified Apogee Zephyr on an Aerotech J270 single use to 3409' at Bayboro, NC.
Good straight flight considering the wind and an easy recovery about 1000' form the pads but only 50' from the road. IMG_2353.jpg
