Some covers with a basic theme.....that being generally stripped down to the essentials, no overblown production (often recorded with just one mic), no overdubs/auto-tune/needless add-ons, and done by folks you likely never heard of. Some of these are played/recorded in pizza joints, on the living room couch, and decidedly non-fancy venues. No rock stars or big-money machines, just (very talented) "regular folk"* who I think just kill it on these takes.
(* = Yes, I realize that a lot of these players are professionals, some with recording contracts, and not "just" regular folk, but still this is a long way away from the big corporate music industry music machine)
