Glad to have you back, Richard!!! I was SOOOO excited to see Vic's email announcing the new field!

Very near the old Danville site for you nostalgia buffs! For the young'ins, the Danville spring and fall launches were some of the biggest events in early high power rocketry...probably second in line behind LDRS.

Looking forward to checking out the site in the near future!

Weather has forced another delay. Sigh.

We will try again on February 24th.

Anybody in a drought and needs some precipitation? Let us know and we will gladly schedule a launch. No charge. Sigh.

    Good News Everybody!

    No Rain!

Which is good, because with the 50 knot winds rain drops would hurt.

Was out there yesterday. Completely and utterly impressed with the sheer remote-ness of this launch site. Arrived early and decided, "I'll just drive past the field so I know where it is and then find the nearest gas station for snacks and gas."

20 minutes later I arrived at the nearest gas station.

First time in a long time I have stood on land that flat. I think I could see like 4 miles without being up on top of a hill.

Edit: So do you fellas have an on site vendor?

I'm hoping to visit in May :)(can't make MMWP again this year:().

When I attend, if an overnight stay is involved...I'm staying in Danville...by the prison...in one of the hotels where the Redwood used to be. ...And I'm launching a class 1 rocket or two behind the hotel for nostalgia sake!:D

    FRUSTRATING!

    Forecast winds exceed 26kts by 9am. :(

    We will try(again) March 17th.

Tsunami, Earthquake, Volcano, Plague. Pick one, I'm sure something will happen.

To answer some questions, Indiana Rocketry does not have a vendor. We invite all vendors who would like to show up.

    The next scheduled launches are,
    March 17th,
    April 14th,
May 5th? Landowner states that they MIGHT be in the fields by then.

We are in discussion to adjust the schedule to work around the weather. Stay tuned.

Interesting question, how to answer without upsetting any of the multitude of weather deity's?
