Hello all,

I'm yet another new guy around here. I've been lurking for a few days, and you guys seem friendly enough, so I guess I'll say hello.

A little about me - I'm a 36 year old, not a BAR since I didn't fly rockets as a kid, but I discovered them back in 1997 and have been flying ever since. I'm married with 2 children. My wife tolerates rockets - "can you please keep the paint cans off of the kitchen table?", the kids are young and indifferent.

I am a member of the NAR, couldn't resist the 62.00 magazine subscription. ;) Actually, I like the insurance and would love to do some competitive flying. I live fairly close to a club and may join them some day.

My fleet: I've got about 20 flyable rockets, 6 or 7 that need repairs and 4 or 5 in various stages of completion. I've been into Semroc and Sunward lately, but my favorite, today, is the Estes Executioner.

Anyway, l'm mainly a lurker, but now you will always know that I'm out there.

Welcome Juaru! Sounds like you have a reasonable fleet, a wife that's a tad more tolerent than mine, and kids who can be turned to the darkside :D

Another welcome Juaru!! You are definitely in the right place. The forum is filled with folks just like you. Take some advice...don't put off joining a club another minute. It will be one of the neatest things you'll ever tdo in this hobby. I mean think of it, show up on a weekend morning...dew still wet in the grass...not a cloud in the sky...the smell of BP motors and a light wind from the right direction. You look around and low and behold, there are thirty more of you waiting to get to the LSO!!!

Paradise!!:D

Welcome!!
You've found a great place to talk rockets!

As far as paint cans on the kitchen table, hehe, from where I'm sitting, I can count 4 on mine right now. I didn't have much trouble till the other day, when my wife walked in, and I was sitting there painting a rocket with an airbrush. All she had to say though, was, "it better come clean!".

I don't know where in Indiana you are, but if it's close to the launch crew, they are a very competitive club.

Anyway, welcome to the forum, no need to be a lurker.

Welcome to your new home :)

You're going to like it here, I promise you :)

Sounds like you have a great fleet started. You should take the chance to review the Scratch Built forum for ideas on designing your own to join your fleet.

participate and enjoy!

Well it's about time you found us don't you think??

What I mean is, we all deserve a place such as this to go to talk the talk and walk the walk of rocketry...I am glad you found us, and welcome to the Forum.

...join the local club, the community involvement of rocketry is a great experience too.
