Weird FSI kit. Anyone ever heard of this?

Has anyone ever come across a "single" stage 2-stage FSI Echo-1 kit? There's one being advertised on eBay stating that it comes with the sustainer only and that the booster was sold separately. I sent the seller a message telling him he must be mistaken, that the only FSI kit that was sold with the booster as an option was the Dart. I told him that the Echo-1 used to offer a payload kit as an option, PL15, but that it always came as a two-stage kit. Well, he has an oddball. He sent me pics to prove it. On the header card typed across it on an angle is the statement, "This kit contains 2nd stage only." He also sent me a pic of the back of the bag, sure enough, no booster parts. Anyone else ever seen such a thing?

I was wondering about that one, and I'm not that familiar with the FSI stuff....

Does this oddity add "value" to the kit, in your opinion?

To me, I say no - I can clone the darn thing.

I'm not sure yet on adding value, that's why I'm looking into it.

The plans specify parts and instructions for two stages.

That's not to say it can't happen. I could find no reference at all to the NCR Renegade-X when I bought one already built. But he sent me the plans. This might have been packaged that way for a special event or for closing out the model.

Does it actually say the booster is sold separetely, or only that this is just the sustainer?
