If the weather cooperates, early risers in the Southwest can enjoy a
total lunar eclipse on the morning of January 31.

The key times (in Pacific Time) for this event are as follows:

03:48 Partial eclipse begins
04:42 Totality begins
05:30 Mid-eclipse
06:08 Totality ends
07:11 Partial eclipse ends

If you enjoy the eclipse, please share a photo or 2.
Thank You Kindly

Those of us here in Hawaii are supposed to have a good seat for this event. However forecast is overcast skies for Oahu, clear skies for Maui and the Big Island. From what I've read, this is a triple lunar event: It's a super moon (at the closest approach to earth, so 14% bigger), a blue moon ( second full moon in the same month), and could also be a blood moon, where the bending of the light during the eclipse gives it a reddish color. So it's a super blue blood moon! Last occurrence was 150 years ago. Fingers crossed on the weather.

Was able to catch a couple of glimpses of it through the cloud cover. It did look a little brownish red. Did not have a good camera with zoom or telescope hook-up, so no pictures, unfortunately.

A breakfast with some guys coincided nicely with it. One of them was keeping an eye on it out the window, but it wasn't particularly spectacular around here.
