I am building a Nurnberg Vostok model. The inter-stage decal was messed up. I have decal paper and found one paper model that has a decently detailed inter-stage. I would make a decal of it but the silver would not work on the clear paper that I have. Black would be better.

After 2 flights on a D12-3 it is still in one piece even with the paper fins. The stickers in the kit are not worth using, especially on the interstage. Why Vostok and not the Cyrillic lettering like CCCP? The kit must be bilingual. I used balsa strakes (ala Zooch) to mount the boosters in addition to the rear guide suggested by Apogee. The plastic nose cones for the boosters don’t allow for a flush fit on the booster so forget a scale contest. Also used the Fallschirm Haltenrung for the main nose cone and have had no deployment problems with the supplied plastic chute. Before launch I just have to read my copy of the pocket Nietzche, and after building with all the vacuform and ping pong balls I can finally understand Der Ubermensch. It is just plain hard to build. Some day I might muster up the courage to launch on an E15-4.
