In the turmoil of trying for my L1 cert today, I also managed to fly two of my vintage Estes low powers. These two, with various others, had been dormant in the attic for some years. Why not revive?? So new shock cords and chutes, and they took to the skies again today! I built these in the late 80’s, possibly early ‘91 at the latest. The DER V-3 flew great on a D12-3, and the ARM Interceptor on a C6-3(probably could have gone -5 instead). When the DER was announced, someone down the line hollered “That’s VINTAGE!!” Made me chuckle, and they were RIGHT! 🤣
