Try clamping your tube cutter down. It'll stabilize movement and you can concentrate more on holding just the tube and blade.
I've also found on my tube cutter (after cutting hundreds of tubes) - Use just the tip of the blade (not the flat) to score and cut the tubes.
On a turning tube cutter like this it goes through the tube cleaner with fewer passes.
