Howdy,

I've been putting together a complete - or as complete a list as possible of companies whom sell various rocketry parts. The reason I'm doing this is so I can quickly find a part I need, and who to order it from. I'm not trying to cover every single company that say specializes in a single part, but the idea is when I have them compiled, I will make them available to those that want a copy in both word and excel formatting.

I'm trying to cover the major companies whom sell these parts, so I'd like to ask you my rocketry family for your input. If you know of a company that sells a certain set of parts that I missed, or a category I missed, please let me know. 8)

At this point in time, I have the following sections finished - with dealer/company who has these for sale:

Nosecones:

PUBLIC MISSILES, LTD
LOC Precision
Balsa Machining Service

Components:

Totally Tubular
PUBLIC MISSILES, LTD
Aerotech Consumer Aerospace
LOC Precision
Giant Leap Rocketry

Centering Rings/Couplers:

Totally Tubular
Public Missiles, Ltd.
LOC Precision
Giant Leap Rocketry
Balsa Machining Service

Air Frames/Tubes:

Totally Tubular
PUBLIC MISSILES, LTD
Aerotech Consumer Aerospace
LOC Precision
Giant Leap Rocketry

I still need to do :

Balsa Sheet section
Recovery
Motors

and check on Fliskits, and anyone else I may have missed for the above categories.

So, who are the main companies dealing with recovery besides Estes ?

I know Aerotech and Estes for motors, but is Franklin Kosdon still in the motor business ? Anyone else I'm missing ?

Finally, I do want to do a Hybrid motor page, so is Pratt Hobbies still in the hybrid category ?

Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated 8)

Happy New Year from Ohio,

Don't forget Sandman at Roachworks, for nose cones, and transitions!:D

I'll add a few for ya...... The following have many different products for sale;

https://www.commonwealth.net/rocketstore/home.html

https://www.magnumrockets.com/

https://www.performancehobbies.com/

https://www.rocketmotion.com/index.php

https://www.hobbylinc.com/rockets/rockets.htm

https://www.rocketwarehouse.com/

https://www.redarrowhobbies.com/

https://www.rockets-2-go.com/

https://fliskits.com/

I would add a category for electronics

https://www.adeptrocketry.com/

https://www.gwiz-partners.com/html/products.html

https://www.perfectflite.com/

Also right here at TRF, we have several guys that should be listed;

Sandman,
flying_silverad,
Jim has https://fliskits.com/
Carl has Semroc https://www.semroc.com

And I know there are several others here..... I can't remember them off the top my head, but I am sure they will chime in......

FlisKits should be listed under the following categories:

Nose Cones (and adapters and nose blocks)
Components
Centering rings/Couplers
Air Frames/Tubes
Balsa Sheet
Recovery

Also (not on your list)

Engine Mount Kits

===============
FlisKits offerings of adapters and nose blocks is light right now but will be growing in 2004. We will also begin offering payload section kits and growing our line of Engine Mount kits

Another item missing from your list would be Accessories and/or Ground Support (Launch pads, launch controllers, rails, clipwhips, etc)

sounds like a good reference list!

jim

Everybody seems to forget him and I don't know why.

Yes he is a good close friend of mine but he also has contributed so much to the hobby and never gets much credit.

JimZ! For plans.

Hey, buy a T-shirt!

sandman

for sure sandman! I have benefited greatly from Jim Z's efforts!

Jim has put together a very valuable resource.

Holy Mackeral...*faints dead away*...*wakes up, sees the list again...Cool !

Thank you to everyone for your input - I forgot about Electronics, and Ground Support, although the Centering Rings/Couplers page does have Engine Mounts. Your right though Jim, I should pop that onto its own page for clarity.

I'll start through this list and see whats available in the way of price lists and the like and go from there.

Recovery looks to be the only area that is missing vendors. Any ideas about recovery specialists ?

I am trying to keep the list limited to companies that sell their own parts, and are not just a dealer whom is the middle man for another company. Please don't get me wrong, each company is an asset to Rocketry, but if I include every single price list from every single company, well this collection would be huge and ungainly. I'll try to include as many as I can and hopefully this listing will be of some use to you my rocketry family. 8)

Fliskit, Red Arrow Hobbies and the Electronics specialists certainly will be added since they sell their own parts, and the local Rocketry Forum gents listed above will be added given their specialitys in clones, nosecones and other areas.

A company like Performance Hobbies COULD be listed, but they look like they sell other companies parts.

I have Jim Z's site bookmarked and since I use Netcaptor, every time my browser opens up, his page is one thats always just a tab away for information. I agree, his site is as valuable a resource as any.

Thanks again guys form your time, and happy New Year,

R.S.

Just wanted to say thanks for all of your input. I've been bookmarking and saving each companies products. With your help, I've got a huge set of data to pull together, and am well on the way to getting everything sorted out.

I will be sure to post an update once I get most of the data sorted.

HAPPY NEW YEAR !

Not yet. Still working on a webmaster at the moment. The best route for the most up to date items is to go to the EBAY store. I update that almost daily with new stuff. You can OR buy...either way, there should be plenty of kits and parts to choose from.
Here is the link...
