For those of you in California, Vandenberg AFB will be launching a Delta IV Heavy rocket at 10:52am today. Weather looks perfect for viewing and usually you can see it going up from a hundred miles away on a clear day.

Launch was closer to 11:00. I work about 40 miles away and had a great view today. Usually lots of fog along the coast this time of year.

Stepped out of my physics lecture today when I heard the count down getting close.

Watching and listening live webcast on ULA Launch and then seeing it nearly 100 miles away was quite the experience. Then I returned to class.

I wish I could have stepped out of my Physics class to watch the launch.
