The University of Sydney Rocketry Team, the team I mentor, has won three prizes at the recent Spaceport America Cup event, including the top prize of the Spaceport America Cup:
• Payload category
• 30k' COTS category
Spaceport America Cup 2022 🏆 (highest score out of all the teams) 🏆

The team overcame enormous adversity in the logistics area to finally get in the air and into the prizes.

Here is an interview of the team on mainstream TV down here (link is safe):

Also a shout out to Monash University and the University of Melbourne who came runner up and first place in the Modelling and Simulation category. Australia has been well-represented in the results.:clapping::clapping:

USYD Rocketry Team just posted a great video of their journey to The Cup, including their test launch in outback Australia:

FANTASTIC RESULT! Well done everyone. I went all misty eyed watching those results being announced. Well done representing your team working skills, USYD and Australia on the world stage!

I had the pleasure of helping to judge the rocket design and build, the team was very well organized and had developed a solid understanding of what it takes to do rocketry safely and well. From smart construction choices to customized simulation software, they definitely put together the whole package.

Thanks for the compliments and also for volunteering for the SA Cup. They really do a great job at the build and proceduralizing everything too. This helps greatly with succession planning. They even have videos of things, like parachute packing, that the newer members use to keep consistency.
