Well tomorrow 5-29-04 will be my first launch since rejoining the hobby after a 12 year break. I have a few rockets done and will finish the rest tonight with the kids. I have my camera battery all charged up and hoping the weather and winds hold out. I plan to have a nice right up done for you all to see done by tomorrow night. The kids are excited and so am I.

Actually, I always seem to need a little WD-40. And I always seem to say " I had some WD-40 in my range box but I took it out the other day and never put it back.".

With the drought index here in Florida pushing mid-to-high 500's
take along a fire extinguisher (keep it on the field- not in your vehicle)...

When this happens you have to wait an hour then come back. I have reserve weekend this weekend so it will probley be the weekend of the 12/13.

Great job Dan!

from the website
After looking at these photos I see that we had left all our supplies way to close to the launch site.

I also don't see any fire extinguishers... Glad everything went well (including
restarting the car)!

(Hurray! Some rain has finally begun here in Central FL! )

I had a fire extinguisher in my car. Thats one of the things I didnt forget. I do remember one time back when I was a kid when I did catch a field on fire.
