Ladies and Gents in the UK, I have a buddy who is in the US Air Force and is about to be stationed at Lakenheath AFB. He'll arrive in a couple weeks. It may take him a little while to get settled. But, when he does he wants to find a rocket club or group to launch with. He has tried to contact a few clubs other there without any replies so far. Can someone give us any info he can use when he gets there?

Thanks,
Cliff

RAF Lakenheath is near Cambridge, so his nearest club will probably be EARS

http://www.ears.org.uk/

he'll need to either join UKRA or get temp membership if he wants to fly.

he would alway be made very welcome if he wanted to travel up the the club i belong to- Midland Rocketry

http://www.midlandrocketry.org.uk/

hope this helps.

I can vouch for the members of EARS.

They along with member WIK where most gracious to me when I visited them in spring of '05.

Gentlemen, thank you for your replies. Sorry I haven't checked this post in a while. I will pass this on to him. He ships out this week.
