Hi everyone,

I would like to simulate the Apogee Peregrine on OpenRocket. I have the RockSim file for it -- no problem there, of course, because that file is right on the Apogee Components website.

I could copy the design from RockSim to OpenRocket item by item without much trouble -- except for those beautifully curved fins, which are what most impress me about this rocket. Its fins will cause me trouble. So if they were already modeled in OpenRocket, that would help me a lot. If they are not, could someone suggest how to go about reproducing them.

Thank you for your consideration.

Stanley

Have you tried opening the RockSim .rkt file into OpenRocket then saving it as a .ork file. Usually this works fine, but sometimes it does not import fancy fin shapes very well.

Hi Voyager1,

Thank you. That worked beautifully.

I didn't know about importing a RockSim file into OpenRocket. This is good information.
