I’m the proud father of a newly minted M1 certified daughter who just yesterday passed her certification project to gain her M1 “certification” which will allow her to access high power areas at any launch and to also build and launch (under my supervision) any rocket I’m authorized to fly (currently level 2)

I looked to see if there was a thread about the projects but came up empty. So I thought I would start one.

My daughter after much deliberation chose the PML Ariel as her project. Some build pics:

Since she is an avid Scout (currently Star rank working on Life) she named her rocket “Scout Law”. She chose purple for the paint scheme because that is her troop colors. Custom vinyl courtesy of Sticker Shock (Thanks Mark!)

We simmed her rocket to fly on the very economical AT H130W reload. Some pics from launch day:

The on board altimeter revealed the 58 oz rocket went 1146’ and was recovered without a scratch. Would love to see and hear of other folks using the TMP. I think it’s a great way to get new young blood into the hobby.

Congrats to your daughter!

Also, some of those expressions made me chuckle - "Dad! Why are you taking another picture?!"

I hope the two of you have a lot of fun flying rockets together

That's a big flame for a little lady!

TMP has been great for the kids I've known that so it. NAR Jr L1 is similar. Lots of great experience available for interested, motivated teens.
