Tripoli Indiana (https://www.tripoliindiana.com/) will be hosting an HPR/LPR rocket launch on the weekend of Nov. 21 and 22. We will have a waiver to 16,000 feet. Flights will be under Tripoli and NAR rules. Low power, mid-power and high-power flights are welcome.

Our launch field can be viewed in google maps at +40° 33' 27.16", -86° 50' 17.59" and is located north of Lafayette, Indiana Harvesting is on-going at the field, and it should be clear by the launch date. The field is less than two hours from the Chicago Loop, one hour 20 minutes from Indianapolis, two hours twenty minutes from Champaign, Il.

We have a commitment from one on-site motor vendor (to be announced shortly). There will not be an on-site food vendor, but food is available in Battleground, approximately 15 minutes away. Many hotels and restaurants are available in the Lafayette/West Lafayette area, which is also home to Purdue and the mighty Boilermakers. Camping for the hardy is available 15 minutes away in Prophetstown State Park.

More information will be forthcoming.

Thanks,

Sam

This is a way better date for me than the rescheduled MWP7. Might just have to drive up for a few hours of flying on Saturday.

The weather reports continue to improve for this weekend, partly cloudy, mid 50's, and no more rain. The fields might be a bit soft. If you are anywhere near by, this might be the last of the good flying weather til spring.
With 2 onsite vendors, now a confirmed food vendor, and a 16000' wavier, it looks to be a great weekend.
