that paint stuff is kinda heavy...
i doubt the decals would fit well since i really didn't measure anything...i don't know how big the fins are, but they are identical so it doesn't matter.
with my Goblin and this model, i may attempt to paint the *decals* on by hand.
not that i'm such a great painter...
must be the Scotsman in my blood.

the thing is...
i don't mean to be difficult...but...
i got this paint, Spaz Stix that is one of the color-changing types...
my plan is to paint it a nice smooth glossy black, then hit it with a few coats of this stuff, maybe another fade job from the green/purple/teal into the gold/green/orange/purple...then clearcoat
decals wouldn't look *right*, imo.
but, sandman, i have to tip my hat to you!
rockets use way too much plastic these days, it is good to see that some people still take pride in doing things right, with real wood, like you.
anyway, i just wanted to mention that.

Spaz looks like interesting paint. did you find it retail? post some pix if you can.
we use a lot of "Mirage" color change paint, I find it at auto parts stores. also auto parts stores have fun stickers & pin striping tape, etc. and those 12v black lights & LED lights - man what a night launch monster that would make!!

HobbyTown USA, which can be an expensive tour, when i caught a glimpse of this stuff...
it sounds difficult to get good results from reading through the instructions a couple times...i'm going to try to take my time and put on LOTS of coats for a strong effect.
i'll post pics!
the fillets are done, the epoxy should be fully cured tomorrow and i can paint on the primer and first color coats.
flashing superbright LEDs and glow sticks...
that would be cool...
maybe blue LEDs and Redline motors!
