I always wanted to do an Airstart Cluster.
Ready to mount fins.

Fins are tacked in place.

Ready to start on the Airstart electronics

“Man, that's pretty. How did you sim it?”

I used the normal body diameter. That should get me close. The fins on the tapered side are stretched out for an even span diameter. I plan to balance it out to about 2.5 stability.

I need to use an EasyMini because this will be a cluster altitude record attemp.
However I am going with a Mini Switch to turn it on and a Quantum for the Airstart.
Any pointers on setting up the Quantum are appreciated.

Just about ready to fly.
Onboard electronics will handle the delayed airstart of the lateral E6's and dual altimeters will provide backup dual deploy as well as motor deploy backup on the drogue.
Projected altitude is about 3500'
Stability at 2.5
Total Mass with motors 650g
Total Impulse 153ns

The Trident flew today. Despite 6kt winds it went to 3967 ft. This exceeded the current record of a little over 2200ft. The 2 apogee E6s lit right at burnout of the CTI F51. I will submit paperwork to Tripoli for their consideration of a new G cluster altitude record.
I used an Eggfinder Quantum for the airstarts. Thanks Cris.

In addition to being a record breaker, that's just a cool looking rocket. How much current did the E6 ignitors take? What battery did you use? Did you need to supplement the ignitors for air starting?

Thanks, in this case it was form follows function. I did not measure the current, but I used a Quantum to fire regular ignitors. One channel per motor. 2S lipos.
