Both links redirect to the home page... or maybe just cause the page to refresh as I'm already on the home page. I can't access either now, though.

Actually, it's just the header that shows, and when clicked redirects, my bad. I'm a little sleepy!

If it hasn't been mentioned already, coming in via a Google search doesn't work anymore, takes you to the forum index not the thread you want.

I'll follow the forum looking for updates about the app... That's my preferred method of access. Change is change, meh. People will complain, then get over it. Then it'll change again.

I wish it has less ads. I was a paid supporter. It is worth the price to avoid ads.

In general, I really like the upgrade. I primarily used the browser on my iPhone, and this is a much, much better interface.

One very minor issue....I really like the recent threads listed at the bottom, but when I was reading a thread, I noticed they doubled.

Edit: and when I try to edit this post (in an iOS browser) the “more options” button doesn’t appear to work.

Edit2: and I think the “home” and “forum” buttons at the top are redundant.

The new format looks OK to me, but I can't find any link for a list of recent posts. The "New Posts" in the right corner only has 8 items, but what about seeing everything over the past day?

I have to agree that a “past 24 hours” or “Today’s posts” would be a nice addition. I used that a lot on the old forum.

Apparently extended ASCII characters are no longer supported. The title below my username was five star characters.

No huge issues ATM, I can get used to the new site. BUT:
The floating ad at the top is in the way. Explanation:
In portrait mode on my phone/tablet there is no right side showing the latest post, and many other features are hidden, not by ads just by the way the thing works. When I go to landscape mode the info on the left is there, this has nothing to do with the ad however. When typing a post in landscape mode, all I see is the ad, I can't see what I am typing. I have to switch between landscape and portrait A LOT. Most of my posts are done via phone or tablet, so this will likely cause me to use the forum less; not because I am a child and don't like the layout, but because it is difficult to reply, read, and navigate with that infernal ad covering my screen.
Having the stickied threads be a different color background would be nice. On my phone/tablet they look like regular posts, I have to look for the little pin icon.
I will try to do pictures, not sure if it works.

+1 I used that as my "homepage" after logging on, it was nice to see all the new posts in one place.

@JJSR Go to New Posts at the top of the page, click on it and it will open to New Posts, Recent Posts and others. Try one of those.

This is sort of a double post but it is apropos for this thread.

I encourage everyone to give this new host software a fair shot. There are some defaults that don't suit many of our needs i.e. the side bar, but there are so many more useful features and customization capabilities that overall this will be far more useful to the majority. As we learn it and share the usage idiosyncrasies, it will become more familiar and capable for us.

I usually am a show learner/adopter but I think the new site works way better than the old one - certainly on mobile. The look and feel of the browser version on chrome on my Android device is GREAT. ... and so much more control over small details with all the Alert and Preference settings.

I am not a sophisticated user at all and am more of a lurker, but this this sure fits my usage needs. I'll try it on the desktop later, although I'm probably a 70% mobile user.

If you find a problem or can't find a capability, post it here so the maintenance folks can do their job. They need your help with polishing the bugs out. After the cleanup this will be even better.

Angie & team, thanks keeping things current.

This is the most cluttered, annoying forum software I've ever seen.

uselessly unneeded move. But I'm sure you'll make more ad money, so who cares what we think?

Can you post a screen shot please. UI wise it's nearly identical to the old site.

Oh wow. I can disable advertising, which means I can now type in landscape mode. Very good. Pictures upload easily from my phone. That alone already makes it better.

Found a slight bug- one or two threads seem to have no content, like this one:
    bug.JPG

Other than that I don't mind the change too much. I especially like the ability to callout users with @.

I'm certain I'm seeing the same thing you are, not getting any weird formatting errors or anything. I just find the layout unappealing.

Great that you found that out. Sorry for no tips, but answering all the questions.

Hey, can you give me the link to that thread? I need to take a look at it. Thanks
