TRF Archive Links Problems

I have been looking at old Wasserfall threads that list or reference Rocsim files. However, when I click on the files, it seems that they are not there.

I too have noticed that many of the attachments to the old posts are not there. Maybe all are missing? I seem to remember that this was an artifact of the database recovery. Of course, this long predates the current management.

Do you still have your rocksim files? If so, terryg has a thread on Scale>Wasserfall rocksim file where he is looking for file. Perhaps, you have already seen the thread.

How old are the photos? Were they stored on this site? or were they links to something like Photobucket? And can you give a link to a thread with missing or blank photos?

I may be able to figure what's going on with more information.

Here is the link to the old thread that has the files attached, but clicking on them loads a blank .gif file. When the merge of TRFArchives happened, they got assigned new thread id's.

I first noticed this when looking for some of Carl Tulanko's builds from the early 2000's. All his photos from those days were missing after the original TRF db was recovered. Well, at least the ones I looked for. I tried to find an example just now only to find that one thread now claims to be posted by "Austin" v. CTulanko. Now THAT is weird!

The very old ones, I don't know if anything can be done as the forum has resided on a couple of different servers along the timeline.

The ones from 2015, that I'll try to see if I can find out anything as that stands a better chance of seeing what's happening.
