TRA releases new L2 test and Study Guide

Tripoli Rocketry Association has released a new version of the Advanced Study Guide for those preparing to take the Level 2 Certification test. This new version addresses the changes made in the new Tripoli Unified Safety Code that was released in the latter half of 2022. This guide and its corresponding tests replace all previous versions and is effective immediately.

All prefects have been sent new tests which correspond to the new Unified Safety Code. If you are a member that has been studying the previous study guide during in preparation for the test, the old tests will be accepted through February 28th, 2023. It's important to let your prefect know if you are taking the older test.

thanks for letting us know about being able to take the older test. I have many hundreds of hours studying the old one so I need to get a hold of my local guy to see if he can meet me at a restaurant somewhere and let me take it, as the cold weather is not going to let me go to a launch anytime soon.

One small glitch, question #50 in the safety section has two possible "b" choices. And the correct answer is "b"!

The changes are not revolutionary. If you studied for the old test you should be able to pass the new test. No concepts have changed.

As Tony noted, all prefects and TAP’s will get a set. You can expect them within a week.

if you never got any of the old tests as a TAP, you will not have the TMP test, the answer overlay and test sheets
