What do you think?
Here's the dealizzle bo bizzle. <- that's to keep Al interested
From 1988-2000 I was in the Iowa Army National Guard as an Infantryman; hence the 11 Bravo to those that are in the knowizzle.
I got out in 2000 because I got tired of dealing with my weight; I've never been a small guy and even when I was younger and in decent shape (I'm not going to say skinny) I was still over the maximum weight for my height.
At the end of September, my old battalion is being activated for a scheduled 18 months to include a year in Iraq.
The battalion's man-strength is low, higher than it was pre-war, but not where it should be, so the commander has said that he will take prior service re-enlistments of people that were known to be good soldiers, but had trouble with weight.
I am giving strong consideration to re-enlisting to go with them.
My weight right now is a result of inactivety and junk food and I have absolutely no doubt that it'll come off with PT and little to no pogey-bait (mil speak for junk food. see also lickey-chewies)
So, anyway if I get re-enlisted and go to Iraq, would it even be possible to pull off a Tour de Iraq de Deuce?
I might could take a half dozen motors with me so they don't have to go through the mail.
I'm sure I could rig up a launch rail or two out of rifle cleaning rods and get some wire to fire off of a vehicle's batteries.
How well do you think a 24v system would light rocket motors?
The rockets would need 1/4" lugs to fit the cleaning rods.
Ideas?
Thoughtizzles?
Greg
