Had to chuckle to myself as the neighbors may think this one day.

thats friggin so true...
But I'll be hitting my neighbors house. they dug up the driveway and built a bomb shelter/gun storage/pantry under 3 feet of concrete.. and they think im nuts....
Depends on the levels. 1 yard of concrete drops the radiation level by 4.5 orders of magnitude. 2 yards by 9 orders of magnitude.3 feet of concrete will protect against prompt neutron radiation (neutron bomb) but isn't enough for gamma-emitting fallout...
At least they'll have a nice fully stocked tomb... OL JR
Hah! OK, I totally missed that detail the first time. (I had to really scan the photo closely to see it.) ~o-o~ I had interpreted the caption to be more "existential."Actually I like the T-Rex coming out of the mist. Who's got time for epiphany, it's Fight or Flight.
Thanks for the link. i'm printing that poster off for my rocketry notice board at work.
if you really want to scare the neighbours than i suggest returning home from work still in combats whilst making a few trips from your car carrying boxes labelled explosives (three storage boxes for my estes type motors -came from a model shop with the explosive stickers one already) and then with another box with radioactive material stickers on (this contained only night vision sights and compasses but have to have the radioactive warning signs on them)
worth noting that the UK is not so liberal towards guns etc as the USA

You wouldn't be into middle eastern dance would you?
My Trudy teaches middle eastern dance and performs with a sword on occasion.
I am, I have been a Belly Dancer for almost 5 years now. ^_^ I know a Trudy who taught, she lives near Sacramento. Same Trudy?
All right, I hereby declare this to be the best thread of the year! :w:
Gotta love The Rocketry Forum!

I second that emotion!
No, my Trudy lives with me in Little Rock AR. Her handle is 'PemTech's Squeeze' if you would like to drop her a line.
Here she is.....
Did anyone see the short-lived TV series by Michael Moore called Alien? Nation? In one episode he rented a suburban house to see if he could freak out the neighbors. They did things like shoot off pistols in the house and yard in the middle of the night, burying 45 gallon drums in the yard with a backhoe at night, playing recordings of screams and other weird noises and they even painted all the window glass red. After several weeks of this still no one called the police or gave them any trouble!:jaw: Moore went door to door and interviewed the neighbors to get a reaction and most were unaware or phlegmatic about their new neighbors.
