I see people using all kinds of adhesives with blue tube. With cardboard, fiberglass, and carbon fiber I feel like there is at least some consensus as to what the top few options are, but not with blue tube.

Any strong reason to use wood glue, hobby epoxy, or something more serious?

Eric,
Wood glue absorbs into Blue Tube, creating a REALLY STRONG bond. As with cardboard, when sliding a coupler into a body tube you better keep moving and get it right the first time, because once it takes hold, it's there forever. If you want a little more time to fine tune it, or plan on injecting fillets, then epoxy is fine.
