I always thought the V-2 was just a bad idea for the Germans. They had to be expensive to build and did relatively little damage for the cost in resources. Both the Germans and the British had tried terror bombing civilian targets earlier in the war and knew it was ineffective in achieving military goals.

Yep, big missiles like that only make sense if they are carrying nukes.

Hitler loved his wonder weapons though and I wouldn't be surprised if he kept funding V-2 development against the advice of his generals.
