Colonel, if I touch that gun, I'll just trigger another argument.

The ambulance stopped with a jerk and I got off.

I am so smart! S-M-R-T. -Homer Simpson
I believe that was Bart.

I've said there's a Simpsons quote for every situation. I often use:
  • Okily-dokily
  • That's not very convenient.
  • Must you dump on everything we do?
  • To alcohol, the cause of, and solution to, all of life's problems!
  • Sorry, Mom, the mob has spoken.
  • ♫ Just don't look. Just don't look. ♫

"Inconceivable!"
Amazing that it took until post #65 for The Princess Bride to come up. That has got to be the most quotable movie in history. And so many of the quotes find frequent use in real life.
  • You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
  • No, is too much, let me sum up.
  • Get used to disappointment.
  • It so happens your friend is only mostly dead.

  • I don't want to go on the cart! (Usually said when the alarm goes off in the morning.)
  • What a senseless waste of human life.

  • You do that, I'll do this.
  • Is that what it takes? I always wondered what it took.

  • Of course you realize, this means war.
  • He don't know me very well, do he?
  • Th-th-th-tha th-th-th-tha th-th-th-that's all, folks.

(If video games are allowed, "Beware, I hunger".)

At any given family gathering you're likely to hear a line from Wayne's world, Top Gun, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, and a smattering of other 80's and 90's movies.
A personal favorite if mine when I need to make my wife laugh is Wash's "I'm a large semi-muscular man"

The Twilight Zone.
Episode: "To Serve Man"

"It's a cookbook!"

That is also the theme of a chapter in one of C.S. Lewis’s Chronicles of Narnia books…….can’t recall which one at the moment, though.

I had to find it. Grabbed my set, and found it….it’s actually two chapters of The Silver Chair….Ch. 8 The House of Harfang, and Ch. 9 How They Discovered Something Worth Knowing……

Now I can sleep tonight! 😂
