The reason I am joking about it is it's been posted several times, like at least 10. It also shows up on FB weekly. I am convinced there is some secret brain cleansing or Manchurian trigger going on with it, the frequency that is appears is simply too great for it to be anything other.

THIS_IS_AWESOME_!!!!! The Wheel of Death!

This IS a game changer. Boys, time to put away the toys. A new paradigm has arrived. Now's the time for 50X upscale Quinstars, Vorticos, Super Stealths, spools, saucers, and whirlygigs of all types. Time for multiple M, N, and O's, along with multiple airstarts. Whatever your imagination can come with. The sky is the limit!

And yet I still watch it every time it's posted. :)

I can never get over the length of the burn.

For those who, like me, haven't seen these Whirling Wheels of Death before, here are three more longer versions in HD. It's so funny that in one of them there is a big sign at the launch site that says "Safety First."

Where was the parachute attached? The way it was spinning it looked like the shroud lines should have been tangled or fouled.

I have seen a bunch that were recovered by chute. IIRC, Vy the time the start down the spinning seems to have prety much stopped.

I've also watched some other videos where they launch these mega overgrown bottle rockets, some of which look to be about 10 feet long. Pretty awesome in their own right. One video stated that the burn times can be as long as...wait for it.....4 minutes.....4 minutes! Unreal. Estes, you've got your work cut out for you.

I'm guessing they don't exactly have to abide by the USPS, CPSC, NFPA, and/or NHTSA :)
