I bought one of these when Hobby Lobby had them for $12.99, never flown it yet, thought they were made for "F" motors?

You can use a D with the adapter.. D, E an F engines.. the D to took her up a good bit I would say around 475 maybe 500 at most.

Very nice. Glad you had a good flight. The D12-5 is a great motor for this rocket if you don't have a ton of space to recovery it. One thing to keep in mind if you decide to go with a larger motor, the additional weight of the larger motor at the rear combined with the weight of the stock recovery system moving around inside the body tube can cause instability issues. I resolved my issue by simply changing out the unnecessarily large and heavy chock cord.

With that one change the rocket went from wagging it's tail a little on the 24mm E motors to having dead straight flights on 29mm F motors. I never tried a 29mm motor with the stock recovery gear as I had heard about the instability issues and saw signs of it on the smaller E motors.
