The film The Desperate Hours (1955) has a gang of dangerous criminals whose plan to burgle a house, doesn't exactly go smoothly. Humphrey Bogart is their leader and they all keep this poor family hostage, whilst trying to figure out what to do next. I enjoyed seeing Bogart and Fredric March squaring up to each other.
