Your Attention Please...

The Mars Snooper has successfully landed! I repeat the Mars Snooper has successfully landed! (In China!)

Thanks to Ed Harrison, and my Mom, I have a clone of the Estes Mars Snooper here!

Unfortunately, the glues needed to make it didn't, but I now have an intact rocket that I can build (once I get replacements for the glue).

The Snooper is undergoing checks, we are waiting for pictures.

The rover (me) will be exploring the envionments here for the remainder of the month. There may be periodic status updates, but the windows of opportunities may be small (as will be the data imput device)(read: smartphone), and sporatic.

Current status: Hot and VERY humid.

Congrats! Certainly a long wait for you there on the other side of the world.

I have confirmed that the Mars Snooper has safely landed on the edge of a sea within the boundaries of Cat Country. The atmosphere is mostly grey, it's very hot, and humid.

Images are coming in now...

Did the Mars Snooper land hard? The images I am getting show it in pieces?

Compared to what I've seen that has landed here via China Post, this is intact. No crumpled body tubes, no damage.

Looks like the system may be going out of communication for a few days.
