Ok. I missed it and can’t find in my history. Someone had an Estes model kit for sale (the listing is now gone) and I don’t recall the name. It had five fins with kind of a Mars Snooper upswept design. Does anyone know what model that is?

I tried to get my nephew into rocketry back in the mid 1980's and we built an Aerofin. Neat design and good flyer.

Yes that is it the Aerofin. Thanks!

If you go the cloning route, the nose cone from the aero-fin is currently available in the following kits. The part number is different, but it's the same nose cone.

Mini Mean Machine
Sterling Silver
Epic II (HobbyLobby exclusive clone of Sterling Silver)

There is also an aero-fin decal on ebay while I write this.

looks like a grappling hook. maybe handy for de-treeing wayward rocs? need a really long shock cord, though...
