The Bad Boy

With all of the Fat Boy rockets being built we thought we would work on one for ourselves. I call this one the Bad Boy. It is a BT80 body tube and is going to have a 4 18mm cluster.

I just lost my Big Daddy the other day and was thinking that they don't make enough LPR stubbys. So I'd like to say congrats! I think I most definately would be interested. Let me know how things turn out.

The BT-80 is just about wide enough to accomodate a 24mm mount with an 18mm mount on either side. Which is exactly what I put into my first scratch-built cluster, Hermes, several years ago. That means it can fly on a single D12, two C6's, or all of the above. (Or three C6's if I use an adaptor in the centre mount, but I've never actually flown it that way.)

It is, of course, possible to put more than two 18mm mounts around the central 24mm.
