Tequila sunrise Lexxjet (Sneak peek)

Just pulled the tape off. Still have to apply the decals and clear coat. Also will mount the engine pods last. I kinda like the paint job. I'll probably be revisiting this kit in the near future. Not sure if I will scratch build it or just order another. Definitely will skin the fins. The balsa in the kit is really soft. Basswood is also an option and no it doesn't add that much weight. I RS'ed it ... No difference in weight or performance.

You are better off buying the kit than scratch building. Nose cones are $15 each kits about $58

Hence the phrase "that kit"... Generally speaking, I don't clone kits that are in production (at the time I started). The only exception I can think of is the Scion, because I had 5 unbuilt Leviathans and a lack of funds when that came out.
