I checked out my usual launch site yesterday at a local school. There are some clumps of snow, but I was delighted to find that the ground is dry and firm. My Brother and I are set for our first launch of the season here in upstate NY, weather permitting. (It is supposed to rain on Sunday.... so we are keeping our fingers crossed.) Between us we have about 70 rockets ready to go!

I also have 5 Neices and nephews with newly built rockets, many of their own design who are as anxious as I am!!

Has anyone else in the Great White North launched yet this season?

Yes, there are others in the Great North who have launched rockets this year. Up here in Spokane, Washington (farther north than Albany, NY), the "Light the Fire" group launched ~50 rockets (B through G impulse). It was windy, and we even had a bit of hail at the beginning of our 2-hour event. However, it was GREAT to be able to launch after a 4-month hiatus!

RATS!! Foiled again!!

Saturday gave us 30 mph gusts and then Rain. And today..it freakin snowed!!!

Well, I stayed in and built a rocket....

There's always next weekend!!
