Surprise kudos from Sirius Rocketry

First off, a big thanks to everyone who voted for me in last month's Best Rocket competition;

As a prize, I was able to select $30 of stuff from Sirius Rocketry (https://www.siriusrocketry.com/sirius00.htm). Since I have a penchant for the unusual sci-fi stuff, I decided I'd try three of the "Moldin' Oldies" re-casts of some of Estes "cockpit"-style cones.

I've been away for the past week on Spring Break, but when I came home I found this waiting for me on my doorstep;

Yay! It's just like Christmas! But wait a minute, that's wayyyy more than three nose cones. Dave decided that since I do all my weird custom designs that I need a few extra parts.....

What I ordered is on the left. All the extra stuff is on the right. Awesome! Thanks a ton, Dave!

I like that nose cone in the bottom left of the upper right bag. Reminds me of a scale model I saw at NARAM-50. It was a Talos, I think?

It flew the day after that pic was taken. It took 5th place behind a couple of Saturns, a Soyuz, and an Athena H.

That nosecone is an Estes PNC-55D. It was used on a few kits, most notably the #2015 StrikeFighter.

I've already got a few originals in my spare parts bin. My first scratch build with that cone was this;
