Sunward CFX-Six Footer Build

I started this one a week or so ago in between stopping points on the Boeing A.L.C.M. restoration that I am working on for someone.

I chose to 'break' it in the middle so it is easier to transport and store and also papered the fins. I haven't decided on what the color scheme will be yet, so until I figure that out... .

Nice. I built the same way, flew it on a CTI E and lost it on the first flight

I have the Custom Rockets Equinox which is pretty much the same thing. Breaking it in the middle makes life so much easier. Flies very nice - used for an 8th grade math/science demo rocket last spring.

Finished this one up a couple weeks back. Went with boring tan with some red ring accents. Haven't flown it yet as the weather and timing hasn't worked out yet.

Looks really nice! What specifically did you use to paper the fins?

Thank you, sir. I used #20 bond paper and wood glue. Thin layer applied with my finger and then squeegee with a credit card after the paper is applied.

I like that color scheme, those red stripes are a very nice effect!

Thanks! I used 3 different widths of painters tape and the fourth, smallest, I cut.
