A couple of weeks ago I successfully flew my NAR L3 flight during the November launch at Battlepark (Tripoli Central Virginia; Culpepper,VA). I thought I'd share a couple of photos and details of the flight.

First, the rocket was a Performance Hobbies Performer 150. Its a 6" airframe that stands about 12ft tall and mine weighed just at 50lbs on the pad. (https://performancehobbies.com/secure/store.aspx?groupid=3920179470987)

I played with a couple of new (to me) techniques when building this rocket. I decided to use epoxy dams to instead of individual internal fillets and it was my first time using a thrust plate.

After seeing Nathan's recovery Harness from his L3 rocket, I stole the idea and ordered the same type of harness from One Bad Hawk (https://www.rocketryforum.com/threads/l3-certification-build-8-upscale-frenzy.139390/post-1683170).

The AV bay had 2 Missile Works RRC3 altimeters on a custom designed 3D printed sled.

I used the Missile Works T3 GPS tracker with their 3D printed mount. Which was mounted in the nose cone.

My L3 flight used an Aerotech M1350 DMS motor, hit a max altitude of 5,400 ft and a top speed of 550 MPH. The rocket was recovered about 1,500 ft from the flight line.
