The original Junkyard war...I remember this show as well, it was descent even though I knew as a kid that a rocket made from a junkyard was not going to make it into space...even if it got close enough. What were rocket scientists doing working in a junk yard anyways? Maybe this was the fall-out after the apollo programs petered out.

One thing is for sure, I don't remember the space ship looking that nice. Worth googling in my opinion and trying to find some better pic to work from.
