What is the most powerful national rocket ever? Did it reach Z?

I would interpret your question as a NASA or other countries most powerful rocket, if you are looking for an amateur rocket that would be the CSXT Go Fast Rocket from 2014 iirc it was an S-motor.

So S for amateur.
Yes, what equivalent would be the strongest NASA or other national rocket?

They dont use letter classes however, someone has extrapolated letter equivalents for motors over S, I am unable link it from my phone but its available on Wikipedia iirc a Space Shuttle SRB is a AD equivalent.

The Saturn V hat a total impulse (all stages combined) of about 10GNs. This is beyond "Z". You could extend the scale (..., Y, Z, AA, AB, ...), then it would be an "AG" (if I recall correctly).

Edit: Too slow.

SLS boosters are the equivalent of an "AE" 5 grain 3,658 mm reload.

Personally I dislike classifying liquid rockets on the letter scale.
