I have a paper mache egg that I may use as the nose cone for a low end HPR. I'll surely reinforce it, but I'm not sure how or to what extent. Can I just cover it in epoxy or should I glass it? I don't plan to glass any other part of the rocket.

Thanks

I don't know for sure, but I've seen paper mache hold up extremely well to some full swings with a baseball bat when shaped like a donkey.

I'd probably add more paper mache to the inside, to make it strong enough.

Either that, or fill it with polyurethane foam to give it a bit of structure.
