Hello,
I am currently in the design phase of a rocket with some strap on boosters. The rocket is going to have 4 29mm tubes with composite engines straped on between the 4 fins. However, I am having a problem coming up with a design idea of what I want to do with the strap-on boosters...
My idea is this, upon burnout of the strapons I want to use the energy of the ejection charge to peel the boosters away from the sustainer which will contine upward on its larger engine. My idea was spured by Boeing's Delta II Rocket, if you dont know what I mean by the boosters peeling away. Check this out:

I am having a difficult time coming up with idea's here. Can someone suggest the best means to acomplish this?
Thanks in advance,
Ryan M. Cullan
