Storing Glue on the Bench

To keep the glue down near the tip, I've cut a shipping tube for Loki 38mm reloads down and store my glue upside-down.

I've done that with my Titebond Quick and Thick. When I'm working on a project, it's always stored upside down using a special cup that holds the glue.

I used to do this... until I had a bottle of epoxy resin leak out all over the workbench. Cleaning it up was not fun.

You have to maintain proper closure discipline. IE: Make sure your bottle is closed and the cap is on tight!

And with epoxy and hardener, don't swap the caps. Don't ask.

Agreed! My tip is only for thick, slow-flowing glues like wood glue, epoxy, etc.

I have done the same but 3d printed a wider based holder to do the same.

Keep CA in the fridge. Not your own fridge, obviously.

Wrap some red electrical tape around the bottle with the red cap.
Zap are one of the worst offenders with the colour cap mismatch....

I always have a roll of paper towels on my bench.
I just put my glue bottle in the core

I do that too. I drilled a hole in a small block of wood, actually 2 holes, and the lid of the glue sets in the hole. I drilled the first hole slightly smaller than the base of the nozzle and then enlarged the top of the hole to be just larger than the base of the nozzle. This way the bottle is held pretty close to vertical.

Lazy pessimists can tape two small cans together and keep the epoxy bottles upended in them
