I am thinking of using my garage more for rockets and curious if it is a bad idea to keep electronics there. I live in New England which means cold winters, mildly hot/humid summers. I have some environmental control in the garage and I expect to keep the temperature between 40-80F.

Does anyone have experience or thoughts on this?

Thanks!

What little I know, is mostly lead acid and SLA batteries....but I have done alittle research on storage of other types... alot of articles say to keep them in a "moderate" temperature...60° area and to keep them around a 80% state of charge....alot of guys here will jump in, and know alot more than I do....but I did grow up in the Northeast, if power goes out from a snow storm or ice ( God forbid) then it could subject them to freezing conditions....for the size of most rocket electrical, i would put them in a shoe box , and store them in side the house.....rsbhunter

To clarify, I keep a lot of electronics in the rockets and often do not move them. Certainly for electronics not in a rocket, I will store them inside somewhere.

I've seen the specs for many electronic devices. I think you'll be fine with them in the garage, as long as it doesn't get really humid. Krep in mind that, if the humidity is really low, it's easier to zap them while handling. I've been keeping some of my electronics and batteries in the garage or car in the winter, and they seem ok.
