I have build a couple of rockets using the Aiptek Mini PenCam to take still images. One rocket uses the Estes Executioner and the other uses the Estes StormCaster, similar to the EyeSoar camera rocket. These rockets are described at the following links:

For the Mod X rocket (Modified Executioner) click on the payload section of the picture for details on the payload construction. Click on the link for the launch log to see pictures taken by the rocket.
Both rockets use the Parallax SX microcontroller to take one picutre during ascent, and then periodically takes pictures as the rocket descends under chute.
