Stencil material

I am working on painting my L3 rocket. I am thinking of making a square pattern that I can use to make sort of a digi pattern over the rocket. I am wondering what material would be best to make a stencil so I can move it around and spray paint.

I know there is stencil paper out there in the world. My original thinking would be to make a stencil out of some sort of plastic, but I dont know what.

5 mil mylar works great.

I get it by the foot off the roll at TAP Plastics. Not sure what's nearby for you.

Today in Joann Fabrics I found a nice assortment of stencils and blank plastic sheets.

Get some Cricket vinyl. Use the low tack, removable stuff.
