I built a 65% scaled down version of my Star Clipper R/C rocket glider kit with a bt60 tube, 15" wingspan, 24" length, 5.14 oz(145 grams) rtf with a D-2.3 18mm longburn motor. It balanced perfectly. Will see how well it boosts at that weight. If you were to use really light equipment I'm sure you could get it down around 130 g ready to fly.IMG_20201121_153254491.jpgIMG_20201121_155020900.jpgIMG_20201121_164532756.jpgIMG_20201121_153549529.jpg

See I have always wondered about this. Are you using the plugged FC or did you plug a standard? Which way's lighter?

In other models that I built previously I used JB weld to plug a standard closure but now I use the manufactured plugged closure, the weight difference between JB weld and the solid aluminum closure is negligible. Externally they're the same shape it just doesn't have the hole drilled in.
