Ignore the first couple of minutes of launches, go to the end where he takes the rocket apart.

This one has some really cool ideas and nice 3D printed fins

This one has a tube launched rocket with wings that deploy, I doubt this is being flown within the model rocketry code. 3 parts, it starts as an RC-Plane then he converts it to a rocket.

A guy named Joe Barnard posted a cool video of his system on the NAR's Facebook page. It's pretty slick. I can't link it here, and I don't think this latest rocket is on his website yet. If you are on FB, check it out.

I have seen that DIY shoulder launched RC RG FPV camera equipped Javelin missile before. I think to make it NAR legal, the model could not be shoulder launched and the launcher on the ground would have to be 30 feet away from anyone. With that and the launcher being at the 45 degree angle (max deflection for RCRG), I think it would become NAR compliant.

I believe it is AMA legal as an RC model aircraft with rocket assist, as is. (Not that shoulder launching it is a good idea.)

Man I'm glad that guy is no longer on flite test, anything rocket powered he did was just such a hack job, I hated to see them.....really little thought into aerodynamics or CG/thrust etc...
